Community

Students engage in learning with support from staff, parents and the local community. Our motto is ‘Together Achieve Success’ and the school is closely involved with the community. Successful community projects have been Country Arts projects to beautify the main street; BMX track and basketball ½ court at Sporting Grounds, concrete cricket pitch; wetlands and bush revegetation; computer classes for older people. Our most recent project has been magnificent cattle yards made possible by the huge contribution from community businesses and organizations.

The community is also welcome into the school. Facilities are shared with the community such as the Community Library, oval, cricket pitch and nets, basketball stadium and swimming pool. The Tintinara Lions Club and History Group maintain and manage the old Railway Cottage in the school grounds and the Action Club helped to build water points and the electric fence for the Nature Reserve, a heritage scrub area with native animals.
